i just got an email from my ywam india friend joseph. his dad died a few days ago. his email is hard to understand cos the english isn't that great, but it appears he was hit by someone driving a train drunk. joe also said that the govt offered him a job but since he is a pastor he told them he didn't want the job. that is the really interesting part to me. this culture is still very much based on bribery and such so the govt prob offered him a job to kinda cover up stuff and offer restitution kind of deal. the sociologist in me finds that fascinating. the humanitarian in me finds that infuriating. the plain ol stephanie in me is praying for joe and his family and saddened by the whole thing.
